The Clemson Tigers rallied back on the road to upset the No. 17 Miami Hurricanes, 40-37, in overtime.
The victory is just the latest game this year in which Clemson showed how maddeningly inconcsistent they are on a week-to-week basis.
The Tigers led most of the way before Miami took a three-point lead midway through the fourth quarter.
Clemson then drove down the field to kick a field goal just before the end of regulation to tie the game and send it to overtime.
The Tigers defense then held Miami to a field goal, and Clemson responded with a touchdown by to Jacoby Ford for the game-winning score.

The Clemson Tigers kept their ACC championship hopes alive with a 38-3 beating of the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
The Tigers came out and stuffed the ball into the end zone on their first drive of the game and never looked back.
Clemson hung 31 points on the board in the first half in a game where both the offense and defense contributed their fair share.
It was a huge victory because it allowed Clemson to keep pace with first place Boston College in the Atlantic Division.
It also gave Wake Forest their second ACC loss of the year, which kept them from moving into first place in the division.

The Clemson Tigers thought they had an easy victory coming their way this week only to get shell-shocked by the Maryland Terrapins, 24-21.
Clemson has now lost to the Terps three straight years despite being the favorite in all of those games.
The Tigers jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and looked like they were set to blow the Terps out of the stadium.
Clemson seemed to relax a little bit, which allowed Maryland to seize the momentum by the third quarter.
This is not a good loss for the Tigers and could wipe out their chances at an ACC championship.

The Clemson Tigers put up a good fight but gave up the lead late in a 14-10 loss to No. 15 Texas Christian.
The Tigers fell behind 7-0 early in the contest only to find themselves with the 10-7 lead in the fourth quarter.
However, the Horned Frogs proved why they are ranked so highly this year, marching down the field in a hostile environment against a quality team for the game-winning score.
It was a good day for running back C.J. Spiller, who topped the 100-yard mark and found the end zone.
Clemson has a great opportunity for a quick rebound with a trip to College Park to face the floundering Maryland Terrapins.
